The Hunter
Alex V.

Silently creeping across the forest floor
It glances in every corner
It tastes the air, its
Silver fangs glitter in the
Its pelt is gleaming too
The bright green eyes are full of wisdom
When it finally detects something
It crouches forward
Its haunches raised
The muscles ripple under
The soft, sleek fur
Suddenly, as quick as lightning
It leaps forward
With its claws extended,
It catches the mouse
The mouse lets out one last squeak before it
Is devoured in fast hungry gulps
The hunter looks up and turns around
Its long beautiful tail streaming out behind
