Current Events - June 2009

Kindergarten Activities
Our kindergarten students will wrap up the year using scooters and traveling on their bellies, bottoms, and knees in general space. They will also have the opportunity to use the playground equipment.

Grades 1 - 2 Activities
To conclude the year, our 1st and 2nd graders will play some new tag games and lead-up activities to throwing and catching sport games and invasion games. Students will acquire basic strategy through making “pizzas,” and playing “Pac-Man” and “What Time is it Mr. Fox?” Our students are also preparing for the Field Day/Fun Day celebration and will also receive a review of the playground activities and games.

Grades 3 - 4 Activities
In June, students in grades 3—4 will participate in a wide range of activities. They will apply basic strategy that is required for many team sports in Capture the Flag. This activity is a favorite and also is great for elevating students’ heart rate into their target zone. Students will end the year practicing skills in tee ball, which can be played outside of school as a family!

Finally, students will end the year practicing skills in two popular summertime activities, tee ball and golf.  Both can be played outside of school as a family!
