GRADUATION FACT SHEET
GRADUATION: This will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, June 14, 2013 at the SRC Arena, located at Onondage Community College.
Graduates should arrive no later than 5:15 p.m.
REHEARSAL: Rehearsal will be held from 9:15 a.m. – 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at the SRC Arena. According to school policy, the school must provide transportation for the graduating class to the rehearsal.
All students are required to ride the buses to and from the SRC Arena.
Students are to arrive at the House I entrance no later than 9 a.m. on Wednesday. The rehearsal should last about two hours, depending on the cooperation of the graduating class.
Students who do not attend rehearsal will not be allowed to participate in the graduation ceremony.
PICTURES: Picture-taking is allowed only from designated areas. Please be considerate and do not obstruct others’ view of the ceremony. It is also important that friends and relatives wanting to take pictures not approach the stage or enter the main floor area during the ceremony. A photo agency will take individual pictures of students accepting their diplomas. If your son/daughter signs the permission form during the rehearsal, you will be sent a proof and package options. You are under no obligation to make a purchase.
PRONUNCIATION: Please contact Mrs. Green (692-1801) with the correct pronunciation of your child’s name.
GOWNS: These will be distributed in the House 2 office June 10th and 11th from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. If your child has not ordered a cap and gown (or is using sibling’s cap and gown), please notify Ms. Clark at 692-1943.
TICKETS: We will not be issuing any tickets this year. There will be no reserved seating for the general audience. The earliest people would, therefore, receive their choice of seats. Doors will be open at 4:30 p.m. Please do not hold seats for others. Also, please be considerate of the elderly and the disabled by allowing them to sit in the areas reserved for them.
DVDS: The graduation ceremony will be projected onto large screens above the stage, and it will be recorded. DVD recordings of the ceremony will be available for purchase after Aug. 1, 2013. Copies can be ordered at the Student Activities Office or by calling 692-1942.
