Home Access

The Fayetteville-Manlius School District is pleased to provide home access to student software programs and files. 
The home access link that can be used on any device: Mac, Chromebook, iPhone, Android, PC.

To search in the Apple or Android store, type VMWare  Horizon Client.

NOTE: You will not be able to print when accessing the HTML icon.

 

For Advanced Users

Follow these directions to enable printing and file access from your home computer.
(Teachers, contact the Help Desk to install on your school laptop.)

Note: This download cannot be used on a Chromebook.

You will not need to navigate from this site once you have it installed.

The default printer on your home computer will be the only one you can print to from this client.

You will need to know if your computer is 32 or 64 bit. Most computers three years old or younger are 64 bit. Also, you will need to know if your connection is iPV4 or iPV6. Most home connections are iPV 4.

 

 

Select this to download client in order to print from home. 

Select NEXT with all prompts. Do not type any places where prompted.

Once installed, launch the program and type Fmview.fmschools.org for connection server.

 

REPORT A PROBLEM

DIRECTIONS

PC Users Only - FM Home Access LOG IN

1. Log in using the same username and password as in school. If your Internet Explorer prompts you to run an add-on. Select ALLOW.  This will show on the bottom of your screen in yellow and white on Windows 7 and Vista and at the top in Windows XP.  Select link for screen shot. 

2. Click on the Remote Desktop icon ONCE. If you select this twice, another login box will be behind your screen and your error message will state that your credentials are wrong. Select link for screen shot directions.

3.  Click CONNECT if prompted by a security window. Select link for screen shot directions.

4. For security reason, you will be prompted to log in a second time. Type Oaktree\username. You have to select the backslash located over the enter key. Type your password as before. If you type oaktree/jdoe, you will not be able to log in. Select link for screen shot directions.

 You can now move files from your home computer to your FM account, print to your home printer, or modify a document from any external device plugged into your computer.

 Directions for adding an iPad or iPhone app. There is a cost from iTunes.

Macintosh Users Only - Citrix Home Access

1. Log in using the same username and password as in school. You may be prompted to run an add-on. Select ALLOW or YES.

2. Choose Citrix Desktop.

3. If prompted to allow full access, you must select yes if you will be printing, using a USB device, or moving files from your home computer to your FM folder.

 

Use the REPORT A PROBLEM link on the login page if you would like to report a problem. Please provide a phone number or email address so we can contact you.

Only Use Firefox. Early February, Apple uninstalled Java from Safari, so this will not work.

Citrix FAQ

1. Do I have to install the client?

Not with Internet Explorer. By logging into the Citrix page, the client will automatically install. No need to select the link to the left. If you have a newer Mac, you will have to select the link below.

2. Will Citrix work with Windows 7, Vista, XP and Mac OS?

Yes. Citrix works with any type of operating system.

3. Can I call for help?

Yes. The helpdesk is available at 692-1111 from 7 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. each day, or email your question to helpdesk@fmschools.org

4. What browser is the best?

Internet Explorer is the recommended browser.

5. Can I print on my home printer?

Yes. You must allow Citrix to have full access to your computer. If your printer does not show, read the directions below to allow access.
