Policy Detail

INDEPENDENT EDUCATIONAL EVALUATIONS

The school district evaluates students who are, or may be, educationally disabled. Parents of disabled children who disagree with the evaluation conducted by the district have, under certain conditions, the right to obtain an independent evaluation at district expense.

The Board of Education directs the Superintendent to develop procedures on independent evaluations in order to explain the rights of parents and the responsibilities of the district with regard to independent evaluations.
