The Fayetteville-Manlius School District recognizes the importance of safe transportation of students to and from school. In 2010-11, F-M buses served 4,856 public and private school students, traveling a total of 885,890 miles.
F-M buses were dispatched in 39 routes serving students throughout the 42.73 square-mile school district, plus 10 routes to stops outside the district.
The F-M Transportation Department has an excellent safety record. The New York State Department of Transportation inspects school buses twice during the year. For the 2010-11 school year, F-M buses had a 98.5 percent passing rate, compared to the state average of about 89 percent.
F-M had an inspection passing rate of 97.6 percent in the 2009-2010 school year, and 100 percent of the district’s vehicles passed inspection in 2008-2009.
Online Bus Schedule
The district no longer prints bus schedules because changes in enrollment can alter bus routes and schedules right up to, and beyond, the first day of school.
Instead, F-M uses a personalized bus stop information system available online. Users enter their address, and the web site produces a Google map locating the address and the nearest bus stop. The web site will also provide the bus number and when it is scheduled to arrive.

Those without Internet access should call the Transportation Office at 692-1218.
