Fall Clean-Up/Spring Green-Up
Fall Clean-Up will be the first activity that Character Ed will sponsor. What’s it all about?  Well you will have the opportunity to volunteer and go to the homes of elderly people and rake their lawns, and clean up their yards. It’s lots of fun and you will be helping out members of our community that are unable to take care of their yards.  You can also get volunteer hours.  Spring Green-Up is similar to Fall Clean-Up, but takes place in May.

Coffeehouse

Two times during the school year Character Ed holds a coffeehouse in the cafeteria.  Here students may perform – bands, poetry, comedians, and musicians all display their talents throughout the night.  There is free food and drink – it is four dollars at the door and part of the proceeds always go to a charitable organization. 

 
Character Ed Week

During this week we have a school-wide breakfast and an all-school assembly.  

Giraffe Award

Four times during the school year we give an award to individuals who stick their necks out to others. Both staff and students who volunteer and help others either here in school or outside of school are selected.  If your are interested in nominating such an individual get a nomination form from either house office.

Black History Month

Every year during the month of February there is a school-wide assembly that celebrates Black History.  Student involvement is encouraged.
