best in the country at the 2013 Science Olympiad National Tournament May 18
at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio.

F-M High School Varsity Science Olympiad team placed eighth out of 60 teams in

Assemblyman Stirpe secures state money for F-M literacy program

literacy initiative this summer thanks to $100,000 in additional state aid
secured by Assemblyman Al Stirpe.
As budgets dwindled over the past several years, F-M
lost its summer reading program for students in need of extended learning time.

creation of a new $10 million capital reserve fund.
A capital reserve
fund allows school districts to set aside money for future construction
projects and major purchases. Most school districts have capital reserve funds,

May 4, Fayetteville-Manlius High School senior Kevin Lux scored his 144th
goal as a member of the F-M boys varsity lacrosse team, breaking the school’s
all-time career goal scoring record set 31 years ago.
