<description><![CDATA[Due to loss of power,&nbsp;F-M High School students will be dismissed early today, Wednesday, May 22,&nbsp;at 9:15 a.m. Buses will pick students up at the high school and drop them off at their regular stops. All other schools are running on a regular session.All extracurricular activities, sporting events and concerts scheduled at the high school for this evening will take place as planned. &nbsp;&nbsp;]]></description>

<title>F-M voters approve $76.4 million budget; decide on seven other propositions</title>

On May 21, Fayetteville-Manlius School District voters approved the district’s $76.4 million 2013-14 budget proposal, elected three Board of Education members and voted upon six other propositions. 
The following results are unofficial pending verification of the absentee ballots; however, the ballots have been reviewed and will not impact the final results:
·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; A $76,410,610 budget for the 2013-14 school year that increases spending 2.46 percent ($1,834,488) and carries a 2.51 percent tax levy increase: 1,111 yes, 418 no;

<title>F-M Science Olympiad teams among the best in the nation</title>

<description><![CDATA[Two
Fayetteville-Manlius School District Science Olympiad teams placed among the
best in the country at the 2013 Science Olympiad National Tournament May 18
at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. 

The
F-M High School Varsity Science Olympiad team placed eighth out of 60 teams in
its division. The Eagle Hill Middle School team placed 10th out of the
60 teams in its division. 

Science
Olympiad is a team competition which involves individual tournaments in events
applying to Earth science, biology, chemistry and physics.

<description><![CDATA[

Voices, the Fayetteville-Manlius High School literary
magazine, has been named one of the top student literary magazines in the
country.&nbsp; The 2012 edition of Voices
received the “Highest Award” from the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE)
in its national judging of student literary magazines.&nbsp; Voices is one of only 26 magazines in the
nation to be recognized with the highest award given through the NCTE’s Program
to Recognize Excellence in Student Literary Magazines.
