The middle school counselors provide students with a variety of services designed to promote personal growth and academic success.
Students at Wellwood have the same counselors for all four years at the school.

2013-14 Scheduling Information for Grades 6 - 8:
6th Grade Students Moving to 7th Grade
February 6th Deadline for language selection forms to be returned to the Counseling Office.
7th Grade Students Moving to 8th Grade
January 23rd & 24th Counselor meets with students to discuss class selections and scheduling
timelines.
January 23rd Course recommendations mailed home.
January 28th "Electives" presentation to students.
February 5th Deadline for parents to sign and return scheduling forms and override forms.
8th to 9th Grade Scheduling
January 2nd & 4th Counselor meets with students to discuss scheduling and distributes High
School Course Catalog.
January 4th High school instructional specialists present high school elective offerings to
eighth graders during 8th grade visit to high school (10:30-12:00)
January 7th 8th Grade Parent Orientation at the high school auditorium at 7 PM.
January 14th - 24th Counselor meets with students to complete course selection forms.
February 1st Student scheduling sheets and override forms are due in the Counseling
Office.
