Capital project work continues at F-M High School

You may have noticed upgrades underway at Fayetteville-Manlius High School this summer as we make progress on our capital project, approved by voters in December 2021.

So far, crews are working on a planned addition to House 2 that would create a science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) wing. Summer work also included consolidating the main office suite and a new nurses office adjacent to the auditorium, and replacing the track and field. Asbestos abatement is also ongoing.

Though progress is being made, work is far from over. The entire project is expected to take about four years to complete.

Work still to be done includes auditorium acoustical upgrades, classroom renovations and enhancements, fire alarm upgrades, and HVAC replacement to improve ventilation and air filtration.
