Fayetteville Elementary School’s sixth annual Dads Night comedy show raised $1,650 to be equally split between the Fayetteville Elementary Home and School Association and local nonprofit Helping Hounds Dogs Rescue.
The April show, “Escape from TV Land,” featured spoofs on school traditions and popular culture, choreographed dance routines and appearances by parents, school staff members and district leaders.
Admission to the event was free, but donations were collected during the event for Helping Hounds, which works to find forever homes for rescue dogs, and the Home and School Association, which organizes extracurricular activities and events for the school’s students.
