More than 100 Fayetteville-Manlius School District music students were selected to perform in New York State School Music Association’s (NYSSMA) Area All-State festivals.
At these prestigious music festivals, F-M students perform in honors ensembles with other top-performing students from Onondaga, Broome, Cayuga, Cortland, Seneca, Tompkins and Tioga counties.
Students are selected based on their scores from the NYSSMA Solo Festival this past spring. District Coordinator of Music Shawn Hebert said this could be a record number of students selected from F-M. He said no one in the music department can remember a group this large being selected in the past.
