Fayetteville-Manlius High School’s “Cinderella” musical and several of the recent production’s cast and crew members are in the running for 12 Syracuse High School Theatre Awards
The third annual awards show will be presented Sunday, June 3 at the Landmark Theatre. Featuring a red carpet gala, 17 award presentations, and several live student performances, the Tony Awards-inspired show will honor hundreds of students from more than 23 Central New York high schools.
F-M High School is in the running for the following awards:
- Outstanding Overall Production of a Musical, Large School
- Outstanding Performance by an Actress in a Lead Role – seniors Livie Pilewski and Mika Sajnog as Cinderella
- Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Lead Role – Marco Giacona, junior and Sean Egan, senior as Prince Topher
- Outstanding Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role – Lindsey Puc, senior and Miriam Brown, junior as Crazy Marie
- Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role – seniors Jared Dunn and Zach Taber as Jean-Michel
- Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble/Chorus
- Outstanding Performance by a Student Orchestra
- Outstanding Production Number – Ten Minutes Ago
- Outstanding Stage Crew
- Outstanding Direction – Shawn Hebert
- Outstanding Music Direction – Shawn Hebert
- Outstanding Choreography Execution
A team of volunteer judges from the local theater scene attends several plays each and submits an evaluation to calibrate the ratings. The event begins at 6 p.m.; doors open at 5:30 p.m. Advance sale tickets are $6 and can be purchased through the Landmark Theatre’s website.
