Fayetteville-Manlius’ Green Team won first place at the Onondaga County Math League Meet on Saturday, Jan. 27 at Onondaga Community College. The county-wide meet marked the end of the team’s season, but some students are moving on to the state competition.
Each year, the top 30 scorers from Onondaga County are chosen to represent Team Onondaga during the state-level meet, which will be held in the spring. Nine of the 30 members of Team Onondaga are from FMHS.
The F-M students who will be part of Team Onondaga are: Hudson Brenner, Agiva Chaudhuri, Deniz Gursoy, Kelly Liu, David Nagapetov, Andrew Nocilly, Ethan Wong, Nicole Zheng, and Owen Zhu. Alex Qiu was selected as an alternate.
Along with the county meet win, FMHS Green Team also took gold for the entire Math League season.
