As the search for Mott Road Elementary Principal enters its final phase, the Fayetteville-Manlius Board of Education has appointed an interim principal to fill the role through August 4th. Eileen Lux, who is newly retired as principal from Fayetteville Elementary, will shift to fill the opening at Mott Road, beginning July 8.
“I am looking forward to assisting the building over the summer to allow for a smooth transition for the upcoming school year,” Lux said.
Current Mott Road principal Patrick McNamara began his new role as F-M High School Principal on July 1.
“Mott Road Elementary students are lucky Eileen has agreed to come so quickly out of retirement,” said Superintendent of Schools Dr. Craig Tice. “Her help with the planning and preparation that takes place over the summer months will be integral in a successful return to school in the fall.”
The Board of Education plans to appoint a successor to McNamara so that the new building principal would be able to begin their assigned duties in early August.
