All three of Fayetteville-Manlius School District’s elementary schools have been named among the best in public elementary education, according to a new ranking.
Enders Road Elementary School, Fayetteville Elementary School and Mott Road Elementary School are included in Niche’s 2019 Best Public Elementary Schools ranking, which is based on rigorous analysis of academic and student life data from the U.S. Department of Education.
Ranking factors include state test scores, student-teacher ratio, student diversity, teacher quality, grade school ratings, and overall school district quality, according to Niche.
“We are pleased to be regarded so highly when compared to districts statewide,” Superintendent Craig J. Tice said. “Recognitions such as this are due to the hard work and dedication of everyone involved with the school district, from the students themselves and their families to district staff and faculty, as well as the community at large.”
The Fayetteville-Manlius elementary schools are among the 30 best elementary schools in Upstate New York. Enders Road (#4), Fayetteville (#9) and Mott Road (#14) are the only Onondaga County schools included on the list. The schools’ statewide rankings are 47, 73 and 103, respectively.
Last year, F-M was named one of Niche’s Best School Districts in America. The report, which is based on state test scores, graduation rates, SAT/ACT scores, health and safety, culture and diversity, teachers, resources and facilities, clubs and activities, sports, and feedback from parent and student surveys, ranked the district 27th in New York state and 93rd nationally.
