The Fayetteville-Manlius School District’s Parent Council will meet 9 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, in the large conference room of the F-M District Office Building, 8199 East Seneca Turnpike, Manlius.
Parent Council is a forum where F-M parents and community members informally meet with the superintendent and other district staff. At each meeting, presentations and discussions take place regarding relevant and timely issues facing the school district and its students.
The Nov. 1 meeting will include a discussion about the upcoming district facilities project, which F-M residents approved in 2017. The $45.2 million project proposal will fix aging infrastructure, add instructional space, enhance security, improve accessibility for people with disabilities and create energy efficiencies.
Meeting attendees can expect to learn more about what’s involved in the project, work timelines and the impact the project will have on students and staff members.
Parent Council meets in a casual, informative and parent-friendly setting. There are no required committees to join or projects to complete – other than just sharing information in an effort to promote two-way communication between the home and the school.
